Old Forester 1897 Bottled In Bond

Neat at first, then with an ice cube for about seven seconds and took the ice out. I really want to like it on its own but better in an old fashion. It’s a weird sweet, not bad just different. And tastes old, but not years old, just tastes like musty old-but not a bad old. Can’t figure this one out but that’s not a bad thing. The bottle is gone, and would buy another one - if only for old fashions or to maybe try and figure out

This one’s aight…. My first entry into the Whiskey Row series. I loved it at first, but after having 1920 and 1910 it’s hard to rate. I’m trying to judge on its own, but I keep going back to those amazing bottles. That said this is pretty decent for what it is. Pallet: is bananas mostly, and pretty sweet. I finish is short but oaky. It’s pleasant for sure. Not much heat on it either, which is a bit disappointing.

Neat. Brown sugar, caramel, vanilla, fruity. Nice beginning but a harsh finish.
