Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style

proofed down to 100. Lots of cherry on the front, with leather and tobacco on the back end. I'm guessing this is a 5-6 year bourbon aged in heavy charred barrels (#4) based on the color. It is a decent bourbon but not worth the money imo.

Strangely I’m liking this a little bit less as I work my way through the bottle, though it remains a decent pour. Given the price point, I wish I liked it more, but it’s still solid.

Lots of heat up front, which forces you to take things slowly. But a nice blend of caramel and baking spices. Perfect for sipping on a cold night, and will likely hold up really well in an old fashioned.

Smokey, oaky wood, ethanol, long dry wood and ethanol finish.
