Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style

Smell: Carmel green apple, butter, nuts Taste: rye burst through with present but not overpowering oak Mouth: warming and coating. Perfect Finish: long

Really solid. Full flavor, nothing outstanding note-wise. Little burn for the proof

Strong dark caramel flavor. Hints of oak and vanilla. Solid mouthfeel but not super long .

Ive had the bottom shelf old forester and hated it. So much so that i stayed away from anything old forester, this is definitely one that i slept on. On the nose it’s sweet, i get banana and vanilla strong. When i taste its like a banana sundae. People say they got banana as a background note, but to me it’s all over. Then you swallow and get an amazing Kentucky hug. Really great stuff.
