Smooth, almost too smooth.
Nose: Brooding dark chocolate covered cherry with hints of vanilla. Pepper or some spice at the end.
Palate: orange caramel and apple.
Finish: Long and lingering candy cane or something like it. Not minty, but bright like that.

My first OF, and apparently they are known for heat. It's very present, but not compared to Stagg Jr or others along those lines. I'm interested to see how much the heat changes in the 1897 and 1920.
