The 117 Series first launched in spring 2021 and focuses on innovation and experimentation. As in accordance with the 1897 Bottled in Bond Act, this Kentucky straight rye is the product of one distilling season — spring 2015. Additionally, it has been aged in a US bonded warehouse for at least 4 years and is bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV). This limited edition release is available beginning March 18, 2025 at the Old Forester Distilling Co.

RyeRye produced in the US must be made of at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels (no age requirement). Elsewhere, it will be made according to the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.
