This is a rare release from Douglas Laing & Co consisting of single malt distilled at Bowmore and aged for 16 years in one refill hogshead barrel which yielded 246 bottles. It was distilled in 1999 and bottled in March of 2016 to be sold globally in allocated markets in time for the Fèis Ìle 2016 (Islay's Annual Festival of Malt & Music) celebrations.
It is bottled at 48.3% ABV, cask-strength with no coloring or chill-filtration.
