Reviewed January 25, 2020 (edited May 11, 2023)NOSE: Hits hard on the blood orange, dried grape, dried figs, toasted caramel corn, and vanilla. Aromas of old age in toasted almonds and varnished furniture. Beautiful. PALATE: Spicy notes of cardamom and clove and ginger. Some toffee. Over quickly but gently. OVERALL: Great bouquet with simple palate. Nice with chocolate desserts or fresh fruits.Waterfront Airport Hotel & Casino Mactan -

Reviewed January 13, 2020Aroma notes of caramelized wood, vanilla, slight dried grapes and vinous. Tasting of low oak, vanilla, very faint fruity from sherry. Ok overall but aroma is more interesting than flavor. -

Reviewed April 30, 2019 (edited April 6, 2022)The Orthodox Easter celebration continues for the third day and one uncle of mine pulled out a bottle of Spanish brandy. I think it was a new bottling, because the ABV was 40% and its label was different. - The color is dark amber. - On the nose I get vanilla and fruity notes. - On the palate there are present vanilla notes alongside cocoa. It's very smooth. - The finish is sweet and delicate. It was written on the bottle that the brandy was aged in very old Sherry Pedro Ximenez barrels so I suppose it would be the equivalent of an XO cognac due to its smooth taste. It was a pleasant surprise.
