Reviewed December 23, 2022I've really been getting lucky with my combat santa winnings this year. In this case, when a coworker says that he thought of me specifically when he bought this as a gift option, I went straight for it. Considering it was the only liquor gifted at the party, I think I win no matter what. At first when I saw it, I just thought it was another one of those cheap vodkas where all the money goes into the bottle, and it wasn't until I read another Distiller review that I started learning about the meteorite filtering gimmick. For the very little amount of information found on the internet about this vodka, my guess is that it's probably a basic cheap potato vodka (being from France) with a microscopic piece of meteorite somewhere in the filtering process so that a touch of the vodka touches it and their claim is safe. And other than going for the outer space theme, I can't imagine what flavors (if any) this filtering addition would provide. The nose is clean, plain, and just a touch earthy, which affirms my guess of a potato base. The ethanol is predictably very light, with otherwise no other outstanding notes or scents. A very light body that I now taste fresh grain on, enough that this could also be a corn base without much argument. This also presents a sweetness that starts as grain sugar at first, but the longer the finish sits, the closer to a liqueur it tastes, like a glass of simple syrup and vodka combined. This is a very simple vodka, and yet fairly tasty, but once again, I don't know if the meteorite filtering was meant to impart a flavor, or simply be a marketing upsell. Either way, this does taste fairly good so long as you like a sweeter vodka, and the bottle is indeed very collectible (and responds well to up lighting, I found out). For the very low price point, you'd have a more impressive bar if you bought this in place of the many other simple, sweet vodka options. -

Reviewed March 24, 2021A really cool bottle with the vodka supposedly filtered through meteorites which is a cool gimmick. There is an underlying metallic taste. Maybe it's from the meteorites? As far as vodkas go this one has a medium burn and an odd but not unpleasant texture. Worth getting just for the bottle alone. -
