Neat. Nose is very faint. No ethanol burn, citrus peel, white pepper, oak. Taste starts a little sweet, but quickly becomes bitter. Citrus rind, tamarind, bitter orange, white pepper, anise, a little vanilla Longish finish of orange rind, saccharine, and french oak. Mouthfeel is thin and finishes very dry. No 'Curevo Gold bite' whatsoever
I feel like I'm supposed to hate this, but I don't. I haven't tasted a tequila quite like this. Dry, bitter, citrusy. I can definitely see how the bitterness would turn off a lot of people that love a nice rich fruity tequila. This is a 180 from something like a Clase Azul Rep. Fans of a dry IPA or a Belgian Wit, with an orange, just might like this.
