Flavor is a pleasant mix of sweet and spice. I get notes of black liquorice and dehydrated banana plus mint, cinnamon, and cracked pepper. Finish is moderate with notes of leather, oak and general baking spices. -

Fast forward to seeing the three year edition at Costco for $80 and I couldn’t resist. Wow the nose on this is really great with burnt caramel and a slight tinge of mint. On the palate it definitely has strong alcohol burn and that’s to be expected for 108 proof. There is a lot of rye spice and I’m getting some marshmallow flavors as well. The finish is long with a good amount of oak especially for the age. I have to say this is a really great rye whiskey that looks and tastes like a rye that could be 7-8 years old.80.0 USD per Bottle
