Peg Leg Porker is an American whiskey brand founded in 2014 by award-winning pitmaster Carey Bringle. This limited edition release is the first rye whiskey released by the brand. Distilled and aged in Tennessee from a mash bill recipe of 95% rye, 5% malted barley, this is aged for 8 years.
Additionally, the rye is made with the brand's "signature hickory charcoal finishing process" which occurs after aging and prior to bottling. Only 1,200 six-pack cases are available as of October in the eight states the brand is sold: TN, GA, NY, OK, LA, KS, NC and SC. (SRP $117).

But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.
