Penderyn Madeira

The Madeira comes out in the nose, with fruit and brine notes. Spicier than expected for a Maidera, but the hint of sweetness comes out in the end as it mellows to a pleasant warmth.

The nose is fruity with oily and vanilla notes. The palette starts off warm and sweet, pushing caramel, then transitions to spicy. The finish is warm and returns to oily, but rather smooth given how spicy the end of the palette is.

Not too harsh to start with but grows a little. Very clean. Not a lot of specific flavours to call out. Maybe some sweetness from the Madeira. Nice but not outstanding.
