Picaroon Dark Rum

Produced and bottled by Blackwater Distilling located on Kent Island, Maryland. Their dark rum is made by taking their barrel-aged Picaroon rum along with unaged Picaroon rum. Additionally, a small portion of pot and column still rums from the West Indies are also included to create this product. A "picaroon" is a scoundrel or rogue.
Dark RumAKA Black Rum. Usually aged (but not always) and has additional caramel-coloring added to provide the dark/black color. Some are distilled from blackstrap molasses. No specific type or size barrel required for aging nor is there a set time required for aging in most countries with a few exceptions.
