Port Dundas 12 Year Single Grain

Love the heavy banana nose, fun and different

Soft finish

Oily. A little toasty. Boozy. Faint burnt rubber and anise. Acetone in the aroma.

This was a neat find. It reminds me a bit of a nicer Irish whiskey. The grains are present as is the oak. It has light mouthfeel and a short but smooth finish. It’s worth picking up if you see a bottle.

Port Dundas 2009 9YO TSC 65.3% - 2nd try - Fiery pepper, nosing it is quite expressionless, hint of pepper hits me again - this is like a spirited expressless nosing. Hint of vanilla, dryness, vanilla 1 Thick taste of the sea, saltiness, dried squid, nutty, very very oily, fiery 1.25 dryness, burning fire 1 1 Port dundas 2009 9YO 65.28% 2 Sharp, peppery, light, sweet, coconut 2.5 Strong hit, smooth milky cream 1.5 Light lychee 2 -corn, and out of production

Smooth and vanilla; very easy drinking. A little one-note and tasteless, but easy drinking. Probably a good intro Scotch due to almost no burn, smooth vanilla flavors, no smoke at all. But for the regular drinker a little boring. Not bad, just boring.
