PUNI is a range of Italian malt whiskies distilled at the foot of the Alps in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. Not only is Italian whisky unusual, the distillery takes things a step further by using not only malted barley, but also malted wheat and malted locally-grown rye in their mash bill.
Sole is aged for two years in ex-bourbon casks then finished for two years in Pedro Ximenez casks from Spain. .

Tasting Notes
"The scent of violets and fresh berries waft out of the glass, with richer textures of white chocolate and stewed fruit on the palate. There's a peppery tingle and more of that tart, fresh berry flavor along with blood orange toward the finish that makes the over all experience almost refreshing. While it's meant for neat sipping at room temperature, and is delicious as such, this would make a great summer whisky as a highball or on the rocks because of those dominant citrus and berry notes. "
