Pretty much like a really sweet candy with a hint of cherry

While extremely sweet its still not as over the top, in your face syrupy as the various Cinnamon/Fire whiskeys, Maple and Honey whiskeys as well. The cherry starts strong and finishes with just a bit of whiskey thought the after taste is thoroughly mellow. A good mix drink base w/ coke and other strait up mixers as well as an add on for concoctions calling for a dash or splash of "cherry" liquer. Not recommended for the serious whiskey drinker but a quality replacement for the cold weather hunters cherry brandy flask.
