Nose is sweet with oak and walnuttiness — which all carry over onto the palate. There's a decent amount of spice here, as well. The finish is medium, and the spice lingers.
I really like this bourbon. My first pour was at a whiskey bar last night, but I bought a bottle today and am basing my review on tonight's pour. I've given it a 3.75 as a conservative rating. I only rate 4 and higher when my socks are knocked off. But I may up my rating with subsequent pours... and I will not be surprised if that turns out to be the case.
