Reviewed July 3, 2023 (edited September 27, 2024)Has the distinct woodsy, barley Rieger nose, similar to a highly polished old bar. Mahogany-oak varnish is joined by mildly salty lemon. Palate maintains the tangy-sweet wood with a lemon undertone and raisins, nuts, hay and clove. Finish is tannic with a spicy black tea presence that transforms the oak to sandalwood. Lemon zest lingers. -

Reviewed September 26, 2022 (edited January 10, 2023)Smells like a dusty hay field. Or a barn floor. Tobacco barn? Apple cider, banana, butterscotch. Sweet grass. Cocoa nibs. Tobacco. Spices. Peppery finish. I don’t get any dill or herbal notes, and the spice takes a background to the barnyard funk. Like you’ve just been transported to a barn. I understand why this is released in the fall. Very fun! Revisiting this it is so strongly pumpernickel rye. Overall it’s like if you made banana rye bread. Very unique and worth a shot!50.0 USD per Bottle
