I picked up a bottle of Zacapa 23 while on vacation in Guatemala. I’m not usually a rum drinker, but it was rated the best product from Guatemala, so I gave it a try. It definitely deserves the high ratings. The taste started with a nice sweet and spicy hit on the tongue dissipating to fruits, berries, and raisins. It finished with a nice charred oak, and even a touch on smoke. Right at the end the fruit and sweet returned to linger with the oak. Very pleased.
