Love the spice

Orange and char. Warms the mouth. Something sweet other than orange I can’t quite distinguish. Smooth for higher proof that you don’t really notice until you follow it with a proofed down bourbon.

After resting for a few minutes the nose is very oak forward, but in a good way, like fresh mulch almost. In the background you pick up nice spices, cinnamon, unripe banana, fresh hay and a hint of black licorice. The palate is full with cinnamon and caramel up front with notes of vanilla and dark chocolate. Leading to more oak and vanilla on the finish that lingers a minute or two. Overall an excellent pour.
