Royal Brackla 12 Year Sherry Cask Finish (Oloroso)
Introduced in 2022, this is one of three core whiskies in the Royal Brackla portfolio. Malt Master Stephanie Macleod finished each of the three expressions in a sherry cask from Bodegas Jose y Miguel Martin in Jerez, Spain. For this 12 Year, oloroso sherry casks were used.
Please note that this expression replaces the previous 12 Year bottling which was packaged at 40% ABV. This new version is bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added caramel coloring. Availability for the US begins in July 2022 in select markets including NY, DC, and Chicago.

Tasting Notes
"The aroma is bright with cooked apples, orange peel and honey. As you taste you'll find the whisky to be quite full and soft on the palate with a mild spiced and oak note. The cooked fruits come through again, but what is most prominent on the finish is the taste of honey. The malty notes of the whisky dial back the sweetness level to make a nice, daily dram. Pair this one with some cheese like Manchego. "
