In the Royal Salute range, the 21 Year Diamond Jubilee is a rather special bottling. Few could have predicted that 60 years after the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 Her Majesty would still be at the helm. To celebrate her 60th anniversary as monarch of the UK, Royal Salute created a new 21 year old blend limited edition - Diamond Jubilee (Tribute). It is said that only the best casks from Strathisla Distillery were selected for this travel retail limited edition.

Tasting Notes

"This whisky starts on the nose with a similar profile as the original Royal Salute 21 Year, zesty and softly spicy, except that everything is more precise and more developed. The result is not only better, but also livelier. On the palate there is the impression that the whisky has been infused with lemon peel and dried sweet fruits like raisin and prunes. Unfortunately, the wood influence is a touch too much leading to a finish that is maybe drier than necessary, although it does bring nice notes of hazelnuts. Still overall, this is a tasty whisky. "
