Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon

Definitely can taste the 75% corn in the mash bill, but a bit more mellow than McKenna bib. Little oak and rye bite on the end. 3.5

Very good bourbon, comparative to Buffalo Trace as far as taste and quality, but more expensive, which is why I gave it one less star.

Got a store pick from R&J in Wichita. Heavy vanilla and orange peel on the nose. The palate was a mix of butterscotch, slight oak, creamy sugar, and salted caramel on a medium long finish. Surprisingly drinkable at 110 proof with little water needed.

Sweet smooth smell, no alcohol burn on the nose. Taste is complex and long finish didn't get much heat from each taste but had a nice warm heart in my throat after a small pour.
