Saints Alley "The Herald" Bourbon
-
KKahil
Reviewed February 16, 2022N: prominent sweetness and fruit, orange peel, grape/wine twinge T: matches the nose, sweetness up front, not sugary more sweet fruit, spice at the back, mildly tannic, a little younger oak F: moderate finish, spice lingers, not a ton of complexity, medium viscosity not super oily or coating Pretty balanced, but a little more age would help the bourbon stand out I think, the armanagac is more prominent here to me with just some spice -

Reviewed December 10, 2021From the first whiff to first sip is all concentrated on that Armagnac cask, but in mid palate is where you find a bit of peanut note with a bit of Texan hug. At the finish is an unmistakable fruit note that at this current moment I think it’s a grape note that is combined with candied orange. It’s definitely a bit younger than I would have preferred and that’s why I couldn’t give it a perfect score, but the flavor is just so unique. If this is available readily near me, it’s a must stay on my bar at any time.59.99 USD per BottleTotal Wine & More
