Reviewed January 16, 2025An intense, dark rum by master distillers Jérôme & Lilian Tessendier, fourth generation Cognac makers for the family distillery in the Charente River Region, of France. Saison or Season Rum brings together varieties of Rum from three locations: Barbados, Jamaica & Trinidad then aging the Rum in Cognac barrels for a final 9-12 months. It has an exotic birth with notes of pineapple & a hint of toasted nuts; while a nutty & sweet life adds notes of peach, caramel, coconut & hints of Cognac; that led to a fruity death of medium length with notes of red fruits & grapes. Reviewed June 29, 2020It smells sweet with caramel and spice. There's a tad of smoke on the nose. It's not excessively sweet at first, though some light caramel does come in. There's a bit of alcohol presence and the fireworks don't really stand out all that much. It's fairly light on the palate and a tad watery. None of the flavors really stand out though. It tastes fine, but isn't anything special. It tastes a bit young and it lacks some complexity. It tastes maybe like column still molasses.23.0 USD per Bottle -
