Santera Tequila Añejo is made from blue weber agave grown in volcanic soil of Jalisco's Los Altos (Highland) region. After distillation, it spends up to 16 months aging in American oak barrels.
Master Distiller Sebastian Melendrez then blends in "a touch of extra añejo" before bottling. Santera Tequila was released in 2015 and is currently only available in New York.

Tequila AñejoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged for at least a year in barrels not to exceed 600 liters. Any type of wood is acceptable, but ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Añejo tequilas are also known as "aged" or "extra aged".
