Seven Fathoms Rum is distilled using molasses from sugarcane grown organically on Grand Cayman of the Cayman Islands. This golden rum matures in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon, submerged 42 feet (or seven fathoms) in the ocean.
Gold RumRum that is often aged, but can also just have caramel-coloring added to provide color. No specific type or size barrel required. No set time required for aging for most countries with a few exceptions.
"The simple aroma is filled with caramel, subdued vanilla, and oak. On the palate the rum delivers raw oak tannins and salty mineral notes. Not very complex; the vanilla sweetness manifests in the finish juxtaposed against the briny salt notes."
