Shenk's Homestead (2019 Release)

Smells of carmel sweet goodness with a floral and fruit. Coats the mouth lightly. Tastes light with no burn going down. Just opened the bottle so it had a heavy alcohol taste. Will let it sit and try it again soon. Very promising!

Oily sweet Michter’s rye like dram. Excellent

Nose- Brown sugar and maple syrup strongly present. Body- The brown sugar and maple syrup continue but there is a strong sour note as well leaving the flavor of sweet tea with lemon. There is also a hint of leather. This is a very smooth sipper that is both full flavored but light in its finish. Finish- Remarkably smooth with a bit of brown sugar, black pepper, leather and tobacco. A little light in the tongue however.

Light woody notes. Mild sweetness up front, noticeable rye spicy in the middle, short and faint musty corny finish
