Served over rocks. This hit the tasting notes as promised, with a heavy peanut butter start, followed with bananas. The bananas were not overpowering and were well balanced with a more natural taste profile (e.g. think banana ice cream, as opposed to the chemical banana sweetness in a licquor). Yet, the pour finishes with a salty, yet sweet, mapled bacon - all the while that salty peanut butter and soft banana flavoring remains. I suspect there is whiskey in this, but it serves as a great base for the additions of nutty flavor, banana, and smoked meats. Drink chilled. Fun bottle, well executed gimmick. A+

Calumet Farm 12 Year Single Rack Black Bourbon (Discontinued)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 23, 2020 (edited May 24, 2021)This bourbon wants to be so much more....but it’s not. The flavor profile just lacks cohesion, which is unfortunate when drinking it neat. Yet, this has made some of the best Old Fashioned drinks that I have ever had. The smokey, unbalanced flavor profile, and moderate oak notes find their harmony with the sugar and bitters in the cocktail. I would get this again, under the premise that I am making some darn expensive mixed drinks! -

Bardstown Bourbon Co. Fusion Series #1
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 18, 2020 (edited April 12, 2020)Was told (or sold) that this was the clerk’s favorite bourbon. It’s smooth, has a slight rye spice that is smoothed out by the wheat blend. It is a good pour, but I have a lot of other bourbons that I prefer at this price. -
