Sheringham Distillery Seaside Gin
Sheringham Distillery // British Columbia, Canada
Sheringham Distillery, located in Vancouver Island, was founded by father and son Jason and Joseph MacIsaac. The distillery produces small batch, handmade spirits locally made and sourced, down to the labels and typefaces. All expressions are mashed, fermented, and distilled on site at Sheringham Distillery. Sheringham's Seaside Gin is made from organic white wheat, malted barley, natural botanicals, and local winged kelp hand harvested by "Mermaid of the Pacific" and founder of Dakini Tidal Wilds Amanda Swinimer. It is bottled at 43% ABV.
Modern GinAlso has been referred to as "Contemporary", "New Western", "New Wave", and "New American". This style is not legally defined. In general, this category of gin, while it does contain juniper, places less of an emphasis on this botanical. Other botanicals not classically used in London Dry gins are often utilized and often highlight botanicals grown in the region the gin is produced. Most produced as either London Dry or Distilled Gins.
