This single malt is produced by Ian Macleod, a family-owned blender/independent bottler that owns the Glengoyne and Tamdhu distilleries as well as the Smokehead and Fat Trout labels. The whisky is sourced from an unnamed Islay distillery, and it is bottled in the town of Shieldaig in the Northern Highlands. Available at Total Wine & More stores, the release is designed to showcase the (peaty) flavors of Islay Scotch. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
