Shieldaig Speyside Single Malt Oloroso Cask Edition

Little syrupy and bland. Still enjoyable

Rich and full of sherried fruit, spice, and caramel with nutty hints. Long mostly dry sherry finish.

This is an excellent scotch which was aged in Oloroso Casks which give it a color and a finish similar to bourbon. I am a bourbon drinker that finds this scotch very appealing. I get a medium cinnamon finish

Very alcohol forward, but it has the caramel notes I expect from whisky and the raisin notes from the sherry barrels. Was hoping for more complexity.

Really sweet up front with a spicy bitter finish.
