"A hint of cinnamon and fresh birch comes through on what is otherwise a muted nose. On the palate, the rye steps forward then immediately leads to a mellow sweetness. There’s young and raw spice flavors as well as a gentle roundness from the rice. In fact, is this bourbon a little sake-like? A few drops of water tames the heat a bit, but doesn't bring any new flavors to this tasty young spirit. "
