Slane Irish Whiskey

Butter and green apples for the nose. Carmel and a bit of rainwater. Body is mild, light, and a bit plain with white peppercorn and green plum. Like a restrained jamo.

More spicy than sweet. Two strong notes.

This is a basic Irish blend, and the price is right in line with the Big 3 (Tullamore, Jameson, Bushmills) at just under $30 in Oregonistan pesos. It REALLY punches above its weight. Lots of pot still and sherry cask character in this one along with the typical butter biscuit, honey, and pastry notes. If you like Irish whisky at all...you’ll be sorry if you don’t pick up a bottle!
