A pretty good nose on it, malty and a bit fruity. A lot like a bourbon cask Speyside scotch that way. But I also get bourbony new oak. The pallet is a bit thin. There’s nothing bad here but this is NOTHING like the smaller distillery’s ASM’s. It’s sweet and malty with a slightly sour note on the end. I think it could use more time in the oak. It’s a brand new spirit for Bulleit so it will probably get better in the future.59.0 USD per Bottle

Nose is heavy with fruits and shortbread notes. Comes off like a boozy marionberry pie. On the pallet its all dark fruit, oak spice and vanilla. Straightforward flavors but some of the exact notes are hard to pin down. Its definitely heavy on the malt/pot still with just a bit of the grainy notes coming through, mostly on the finish. Fantastic pour!79.0 USD per Bottle

Longrow Peated
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed November 11, 2023 (edited December 2, 2023)BIG flavors. As a fan of Islays, this is something that wil smack you with a huge flavor profile. Theres definitely peat but also sherry, dark fruits, oakiness, some chocolatey/coffee, some mineral flavors and a whiff of that notorious C-town funk. Absolutely fantastic! -
West Cork Glengarriff Series Bog Oak Charred Cask Single Malt
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed October 8, 2023Really good flavor, it’s got a bit of peat, really oaky and a fruity sweetness that I can’t quite put my finger on. I think its like a citrusy/berry note. For $45, it’s definitely a banger! Irish peat is just different. It’s floral and herbal. Reminds me of that Orkney peat in highland park but it’s still different.45.0 USD per Bottle
