It was there that the president of Smirnoff Vodka sat down with the bar’s owner and longtime friend, who also happened to bottle ginger beer in town. To increase sales of both, they decided to join forces and the rest is history.

This may sound snarky, but there is little use for a flat, liqueur-esque ingredient that still requires ginger soda to achieve the original cocktail’s charm of spicy bubbles and only brings a somewhat artificial citrus and medicinal vodka flavor."
