Famous Grouse Smoky Black

Nose: A brown sugar, rum-like quality. Sweet honey smoked ham. Heavy. Palate: A touch oily. Sweet and peaty rather than smokey. Spice warmth. Finish: Very long with a slightly saltly fish finger which is weird but I kinda like it.

Peaty and chared wood nose. Some rum sweetness. A good amount of smokiness. Caramel and pepper undertones. Smoke prevalent but not overpowering. Sweet and orange notes balance it well.

Step up from grouse. A superior sipper. Not so smoky I’m gasping but enough where I know I’m not drinking a well whisky 3.5
