"Arranta" translates to bold or daring in Scottish Gaelic, and to match that spirit, Speyburn utilized 100% first-fill ex-bourbon casks for aging, all of which were air-dried, and hand-selected for the expression by distillery manager Robert Anderson.

Tasting Notes
"Arranta is a golden straw in the glass, offering coconut, butterscotch, honeyed apples, and also a touch of sour green apple on the nose. The palate is soft and lightly creamy, and while less fruity than the nose, is rather consistent with its honey profile. Here though, also find more vanilla, oak and baking spices. This leads to a rich chocolate and honey finish which turns more substantial over time, adding cinnamon and spices, and baked apples. "
