Reviewed July 16, 2023Funky leathered dark fruits on the nose. Spices, funk and dark fruit on the nose. Nice warm finish. Hard to find fault with this if you can find it at MSRP.Craigard House Hotel & Lochside Restaurant -

Reviewed May 18, 2023Honestly, there’s not much nose to start. But let it sit and you’ll eventually be rewarded with a puff of peat smoke on the nose as it unwinds into a lovely and sweet, raisiny delight. The palate is equally gorgeous - the mouthfeel is exceptional and the palate has everything from main course to dessert. This is a great pour and I would highly recommend if you have the opportunity -

Reviewed March 10, 2023 (edited March 22, 2023)Dark fruit, oily, a little smoke, funk is present. Ethanol presence keeps it from being outstanding. Can't decide whether I like it more than the Local Barley, but presumably this isn't quite as overpriced.25.0 USD per Pour -

Reviewed November 27, 2022 (edited February 1, 2023)(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, 19 November 2022). Nose: Dried fruit, malt, cherries, berries, raisins and currants Palate: Sherry!!! Dried fruit, funky, diesel, farmyard-y, orange peel, damp peat, chocolate cherries. Finish: Long finish. Dark fruit, chocolate, sherry, tobacco, leather, farmyard funk. Fizzy and vibrant note on the aftertaste. This is a complete sherry bomb, with a load of funky, peaty dried fruit. I'm not usually a Springbank fanboy for their standard range, but this is an unctuous and full -bodied cracker of a dram. Came first out of the six drams, with 70% of the final vote for favourite of the night. 93% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky. This was a very close second for favourite of the tasting for me.96.0 GBP per BottleThe Good Spirits Co.
