Square 6 High Rye Bourbon
Bourbon
Heaven Hill // Kentucky, USA
Square 6 High Rye Bourbon is the first bottled bourbon produced at the distillery located in the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience in downtown Louisville, Ky. The name Square 6 refers to the original plot of land where Evan Williams built Kentucky’s first commercial distillery in 1783, which happens to share the same block on Louisville’s Whiskey Row where the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience first opened in 2013.
This is the first product to launch from this facility, where one barrel per day is produced, under Artisanal Distiller Jodie Filiatreau. It is a high rye bourbon consisting of 52 percent corn, 35 percent rye and 13 percent malted barley, aged 5 years in new, charred American oak and bottled at 95 proof.

Tasting Notes
"This whiskey carries a youthful nose with "green" notes of fresh mint, thyme, cinnamon and a bit of sawdust. The palate is somewhat vegetal with hints of snap peas, mint and fennel. Flavors of toasted corn, cinnamon, nutmeg and a good dash of clove come through in the mid palate. The finish is a tad thin, though pleasant. "
