Reviewed January 21, 2023Very aggressive peat and strong alcohol. It misses complexity and has an average aftertaste. There are much better options for peated malts at this price levelBerlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) "Willy Brandt" -

Reviewed March 15, 2022Nose: Starts with strong sweet peat, smoked meat ,slight ashiness, immediately followed by orange, sweet peach, grape jelly, sweet notes of fresh jasmine. Love it! Very balanced peat with fresh sweetnes from wine and spiciness from rye casks. Taste: Stars with smoked marshmallow sweetness, fresh grape fruit, pineapple , then it changed to more savory notes with herbal notes of dill, white peppercorn, the finish is long with mint and candies orange chocolate. I didn't like it as much after adding tea spoon of water. It is still nice but ashy notes became more dominant and it lost some of it herbal notes. However, the finish changed to be sweeter and more wine alike which I found very interesting. Conclusion: I think it is one of the best smoky whisky I've tried. Smoke barley, wine and rye cask finishes all play in harmony and create very balanced expirience. It was almost like mixing Ardbeg Uigeadail with Glencadam 10 and adding some grapefruit notes.Frankfurt
