Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 15

Nose: Oak, alcohol, red apples, vanilla, warm bread. Taste: Man, I've nearly ruined this one because I've never had it, but have had Benchmark Full Proof so many times. It reminds me very much of that, but a lot more full bodied. It's got the oak, cherries, red apples, red candies, and alcohol. It's very good, but with it's difficulty to find and secondary price, and with how much of a novice I am, I'll continue to keep my BFP stocked. Finish: Warm, comfortable, bite-y. It's a long one. Really enjoyed this. PeeWee is the man!

I didn’t realize I hadn’t rated this one! Tried neat from my collection. On the nares it smells sweet with strong vanilla and oak and brown sugar. It’s a hottie on the palate, that’s for sure. Toasted oak notes. I usually sip my bourbon neat. This is very hot for me neat. However, I’m not mad at it and will continue to try and sip neat. I placed over a rock and as it opens up its not as complex as I wanted but… I thoroughly enjoy it.
