This is “heat” done right. So rich and sweet on the nose with strong vanilla and brown sugar presence. But immediately when it hits your tongue the heat fans out and branches into Cherries and Cinnamon. Mellows out in a long finish that still carries a sweetness.
This is a cold-weather, stuck inside kind of bourbon without a doubt. Requires a few drops of water too in my opinion.
High octane nose, sweet and fruity. Palate is sugary with cinnamon. Add a little water or ice and it opens up nicely, picking up fruitiness. Update, Batch 13 is similar, less fruity, more sweet and cinnamon.
Neat:
Nose: alcohol
Taste: Very alcohol forward and very harsh
Finish: charred oak and cinnamon
Rocks:
Nose: brown sugar
Taste: vanilla creme brulee
Finish: cinnamon still
