Released seasonaly twice a year this younger version of George T. Stagg barrel strength packs a punch, and is allocated. I'm drinking stagg Jr batch #6, 66.25% abv or 132.5 proof neat.
Nose: dried fruit, Carmel, sweet candied cherries, fresh cut ceder and cloves.
Palate: pipe tobacco, mint sprigs, celery, cherry cough drops, very medicinal.
Body: medium with slight oil feel, bite starts slow and build, hits on the front and top back of your tongue.
Finish: hot but fades quickly, numbing of the lips is expected from this high octane tannin rich whisky nectar. If your and enthusiast this is a must try. Keep drinking my friends... Skol!
