Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 1

This is a quality bourbon. I have yet to try George T Stagg, but if this is the young version, I can only imagine how good the big daddy is. Drink this one with a few drops of water to help it open up. The nose of this one is full of vanilla and brown sugar. Very sweet. The palate compliments that vanilla and brown sugar with oak, cinnamon spice and a little bit of spiced cherries and maybe even a touch of leather. Top notch!

The third and fourth release were amazingly strong and yet well balanced really opens up to the sweet creaminess of the older Stagg with a drop of water. The first and last release were oak and heat overpowering the more complex side of Staggs sweeter side.
