Stolichnaya Vodka

1938 bottled latvia. 1st imported premium. wheat, some rye. distilled 3 times, filtered 4x. russian birch & charcoal.

Average. Nothing on the nose and bland on the palette. Not as smooth as Belvedere or others but good nonetheless. I would buy another bottle.

Predominantly grainy and neutral nose with a touch of charcoal. Oily mouthfeel. Subtle citrus and grain sweetness on the attack; midpalate is full of spice, which then lingers on the finish as the charcoal returns. Comparatively little burn. A fair bit going on here for a vodka in this price range. 2.50/5.00 – Acceptable (neat)
