Strathmill 12 Year Flora & Fauna
Single Malt
Strathmill // Speyside, Scotland
Strathmill is very rarely seen as a single malt (it will occasionally turn up in an independent bottling) as it is typically only used for blended whiskies such as J & B.
This Flora & Fauna expression was a collection of 26 different distilleries and intended by Strathmill's previous owners, United Distillers (now Diageo), to highlight the regions from whence the whisky was distilled.

Tasting Notes
"Robust cereal notes come to the forefront with lemon zest, Demerara sugar, and tea in the background. Vanilla and grassy notes appear on the palate with applesauce showing up late to the party, but once you find it, it shows up on the nose with each subsequent sip. The whisky has a vibrancy to it which keeps you interested as it finishes with a very mild smoked note."
