Sylvius Gin
London Dry Gin
Netherlands
Sylvius Gin is named after Franciscus Sylvius who, in 1650, was the first person to officially patent a certain distilled spirit flavored with juniper berries. The Onder de Boompjes Distillery, where this expression is produced, began operations eight years later, making it the oldest independent distillery in the Netherlands.
Their Sylvius Gin is made with a wheat spirit and 10 botanicals: juniper, angelica root, coriander seeds, lavender, whole lemons, orange zest, alba ceylon cinnamon, star anise, licorice root and caraway seeds. This spirit is bottled at 45% ABV.
