Nose: Peat and malt Nose After swirl: Sesame? Maybe it's because I'm in a Japanese Steakhouse Palette: Similar to other Nikka whiskies. Soft on the palette with virtually no heat. Lychee, slight oak, and gentle peat dominate the flavor. Finish: Short with diminishing oak

This is a strange one. Smoke and sherry notes are definitely there, but the bottle I'm tasting has a definite lager note on the nose and pallet.. It makes me think of Michelob. It's not just me. The other people I'm drinking this with taste it too. Strange but true.
