Excellent, warm, nutty, spicy, fantastic.

A classic, solid Islay single malt. Deep in nose (caramel & smoke), balanced palate (light fruits and peat), and smooth finish. Excellent value.

Nose: ark berries, vanilla, plum, rye (obviously), zero burn Palate: Thin mouthfeel, briefly coats the mouth then immediately dissipates; toasted spices (but no cinnamon), beautifully balanced rye, very little heat, stone fruit, cacao nibs Finish: Dry, lingers at the top of the throat, dark notes remain but give way to lighter red and black berry notes

Nose: lovely peat, warm oak, sea brine, candied ginger, warm spices Nose After Swirl: The peat gives way to the gentler spicy notes, with cinnamon and clove coming through Palate: Medium-thick mouthfeel, extremely creamy. The vanilla, sea spray, and medicinal notes linger but eventually give way to a more intense finish. Finish: Fairly long; I'm not sure if I've had a more different finish to a palate before. Intense dry oak tannin and smoke demolish the softer light notes that came before.

Nose: Smoked vanilla, sweet caramel, and toffee notes open on the nose, with sooty smoke balanced with delicate coconut and flaked almonds. There is an unmistakable earthy smokiness and a hint of citrus, with lemon meringue pie cutting through rich barbeque pork. Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Bright citrus, smoke and a distinct minerality come through on the palate, followed by charred oak and beach bonfire embers. Toffee and creamy vanilla are balanced with the earthy smoke, with bright notes of pear and green apple simultaneously adding brightness and depth. Roasted coffee, hints of clove and nutmeg begin to come to the fore, with a gentle hint of heather honey. Finish: Butterscotch and vanilla are balanced with Octomore’s signature earthy peat smoke and a hint of salt spray, with burnt heather settling on the finish. Conclusion: Supremely well-balanced dram; one of the best whiskies I've ever had. It matches the previous Octomore drams I've previously had as top-tier whiskey.

A younger take on the classic Lagavulin smoke, light barrel spice from those rum casks, rich smoke gives way to spiced stone fruits Finish: medium-long finish, peaty smoke lingers then opens up to smoked spiced fruit

Nose: Menthol, light fruits, oil, sweet barley Nose After Swirl: Warm peppermint, caramel, every-so-toasted wood Palate: Medium-thick mouthfeel. Extremely smooth, barely any heat. Creamy caramel, vanilla, wood, faint light fruit, mellow grain notes, green apple, apricot. Finish: Medium & creamy finish, it lingers but does eventually fade. Insanely, the finish gives off coconut, green apple, menthol, mulling spices.

Nose: Light Fruit, Slight Oakiness, Vanilla, Wildflower Honey, ever-so-slight Nuttiness. Nose After Swirl: Softer floral notes, Honey, Bright Fruits. Palate: Nice thick mouthfeel, extremely soft going down, medium heat, mellowed deep flavors; biggest note (surprisingly) is fig! Brown sugar, aged honey, dark oak (very skight char), mellow honeysuckle, toasted nuttiness Finish: Oily, long, coats the whole mouth for a good 60 seconds, lighter sweet nuttiness, brighter oak notes.

Aggressive nose; acetone/paint notes overtake subtler notes of overripe banana and ginger. Very hot pallete with fruitier notes.
